Sort Them Ducks Patch Notes

Official Steam news, rewritten so you can find the Ryzen option and the refund without scrolling a wall of quacks.

Patch Notes

This page restates the Steam community announcements for Sort Them Ducks after launch. Wording is paraphrased for scanability; the developer posts remain canonical. If your client shows a newer build, trust the in-game number over our date stamp.

Steam news currently shows four posts: Patch 1 Notes (Sandouq Studio), two short Save Data Issue notes, then a combined thank-you titled FPS/Jitter/Black Screen Fixes + Save Data Issue (Mr.Duck). Same fixes, same refund. Read the combined post if you only open one tab.

Patch 1

Posted around launch as “Patch 1 Notes,” then rolled into a longer thank-you post.

Fixes

  • New launch option for Ryzen users aimed at FPS drops, weird mouse sensitivity, and black-screen flickering.
  • End-game stuck state from a missing duck or incorrect counter.
  • Controller jump restored.
  • Zoom no longer leaves FOV stuck after you exit.
  • Camera no longer clips through walls at high FOV.

Improvements

  • Duck quack volume lowered.
  • Players can look fully up and down.

Those lines map onto performance, missing ducks, Controls, and high shelves. If you still see the old bug, verify the build, then file a report via the email on Links.

Save data / ability refund

After Patch 1, some saves lost upgrades and abilities. Official follow-up: the team rebuilt the abilities file. On next launch you are refunded for abilities you lost so you can purchase them again. It is described as a one-time process. Shelved ducks were not the focus of the bug; players mostly reported skills resetting while the shop stayed sorted, or the reverse on a cloud swap.

What you should do:

  1. Update.
  2. Launch once.
  3. Confirm coins came back.
  4. Buy carry first again.
  5. If it happens a second time, say so in a Steam discussion or mail support — the post asked for that.

Do not delete your save because the skill tree emptied. The refund exists so you do not have to.

What was not in Patch 1

The notes do not claim to fix window haze, food-shelf through-grabs, delayed achievements, or every Tower extra. Those remain known issues until a later post says otherwise. They also do not add another shop or a second person in the store.

How we will update this page

New Steam news gets a new section with the same dry list style. We will not hide a regression inside a joke. If a later patch breaks jump again, it will be written as a break.

Until then, play on the patched build. The cozy loop is better when the camera looks up and the counter tells the truth.

How to read a Mr.Duck news post

Official posts mix patch bullets with a conversational sign-off. Treat the bullet list as the patch and the rest as tone. If a sentence says a refund already processed, do not file a ticket asking when it will process. If a sentence lists a launch option, copy it once into Steam properties and leave it there — toggling it every session is how people think a fix stopped working.

Community guides dated before 13 August 2026 are pre-release guesses. After Patch 1, prefer this page plus known issues over a screenshot with no build number. When the next numbered patch lands, we will add a section here rather than hiding it on the hub. The hub is the map; this page is the timeline.

Until the next post, play the build you have. Screenshot weird counters. Mail support if a refund never arrived. Then put the news tab away. The shop is still open.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions players ask after a long sorting session.

Does Patch 1 fix missing Tower ducks?

It claims to fix missing ducks and wrong end-game counters. If color extras persist, update, respawn, then report. See missing ducks.

Will I get my upgrade money back?

Yes, once, according to the official save post. Launch the patched build and buy again.

Do I still need the Ryzen option after Patch 1?

Yes if you are the audience for it. The option is the fix. Patch 1 is what added it.

Where is the original post?

Steam news for app 4992070. This page is a fan summary, not a replacement.

Did Patch 1 add new ducks?

No. It targeted stability, camera, audio, and counters. Costume count stays a shop problem, not a patch teaser.
