Sort Them Ducks Known Issues After Launch
What players still report even after the Ryzen option, the counter fix, and the upgrade refund.
Patch 1 was real and fast. It did not empty the Steam discussions board. This page lists issues that still appeared in reviews and hub threads after the notes. Treat each line as “check your build, then assume it might still happen,” not as a promise the bug is unfixed forever.
Workarounds point at missing ducks, performance, Controls, and patch notes. Official email is on Links.
Still reported after Patch 1
Tower color extras / deficits — Yellow missing, Green and Dark Blue extra. Respawn may not rewrite the table. Update, respawn, report. Do not restart a 90% save out of spite until you have done those three.
Window haze — Superheroes, countries, animals. Not the same as Ryzen flash. Save the aisles, take breaks.
Food / fruit through-grabs — Interact picks a duck from the far side. Stand in the aisle. Put stolen ducks back.
Delayed achievements — Pops on next boot. Relaunch before you hunt a ghost.
Cloud mismatch — Respawning swapped a Legion Go 2 and a PC and briefly saw unlocked skills with none of the already-shelved ducks. Resyncing Steam Cloud and reloading fixed it. Wait on the cloud icon before you spend another hour. Details and SteamOS lines sit on system requirements.
UI prompts / music mix — Complaints remain. Sliders and memory help more than a wiki.
Stuck unable to move on load — Rare review. Restart the process.
Duck outside the shop — Respawn. If it comes back outside, report.
Probably fixed — still verify
Controller jump. Zoom FOV stuck. Wall clip at high FOV. Look pitch clamped. Ability tree wiped (refund path). End-game counter lie. Ryzen flash (if you actually selected the launch option).
If you still see a “fixed” item, you may be on an old depot, a cloud rollback, or a new regression. Say which in a report.
How to file a useful report
Include GPU, CPU (Ryzen or not), whether the Ryzen option is on, whether you are on Deck, and whether the shop is sorted. “It bugged” is not a report. “Ten Yellow Tower missing, six Green extra, Patch 1 installed, respawn used” is a report.
Then go back to placing pirates. A known-issues list that keeps you from playing has failed the cozy brief. A list that saves a 5-hour save has done its job.
What to send when you report
Include the HUD name, the shelf sign, whether extras remain in hand, and whether Patch 1 plus the refund hotfix already applied. “Game broken” does not help a two-person studio. A photo of Green Tower extras next to a Yellow counter that still wants ducks does. Attach your OS and whether you used the Ryzen launch option so they do not chase a flash bug you already fixed.
Do not delete the save to test a workaround unless support asks. The refund hotfix was a one-time studio gift; a second reset is on you. Park the confusing pile, finish a friendly aisle, and come back. Progress elsewhere is still progress, and patch notes will tell you when a counter fix is worth another look at Tower.
Until then, sort what you can, screenshot what you cannot, and keep the save. The ducks are patient. The patches have already proven they can be too.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions players ask after a long sorting session.
Is my stuck Tower shelf already patched?
Patch 1 targeted missing ducks and counters. If extras persist, treat it as still live and report with color counts.
Should I refund because of haze?
Haze is ugly, not a wipe. Try saving those aisles for last. Flash/strobe is the more serious Ryzen issue — use the launch option.
Are achievements broken?
Some pop late. Relaunch. If a trophy still refuses after a finished shop, check the achievements page, a Steam overlay reboot, and a second boot.
Where do I send a report?
Steam discussions or the support email on the Links page. The developer has been answering launch posts.
Is food-shelf grabbing through the unit still a thing?
Players still report it after Patch 1. Stand in the aisle you mean, put stolen ducks back, and mention it if you file a report.
